Working as a Make-Up
Artist is a very rewarding and enjoyable career choice, it is flexible, you can fit work around your family commitments or,
you can specialise and work full-time, the choice is yours.
Whether you choose to specialise
as a make-up artist, whether you are already working with make-up, perhaps on a make-up counter or as a party-planner; this
one day course will enhance your skills and enable you to work professionally.
Course Content
This comprehensive
course includes: · Identifying different skin types; ·
Skin
Analysis; · Make-up a client for a day look; ·
Make-up
a client for an evening or special occasion; · Face shapes, eyes and definition
– a style guide for all shapes; · Product application techniques; ·
Anatomy
& Physiology - the skin; · Professional Conduct; ·
Business
Awareness – legislation, insurance; · The products and tools of the trade; ·
Contra-Indications
& Contra-Actions; · Common conditions; ·
Client
consultation, keeping accurate records; · Client Aftercare and Advice; ·
Infection
Control and Hygiene; · Salon Safety – health and safety policies.
Practical Training Day
The practical training day is from 10am to 5pm, it is a fun day, packed full of information and enabling
you to practise your make-up skills in a class-room setting. We will practise a variety of looks to suit
a daytime, evening or special occasion.
What You Will Need To Bring
Students will be required to bring their own make-up, products and tools to the practical training day.
Professional Diploma Optional Assessment
If you want to stay at the end of the day and take the theory and practical
assessment, an additional fee of £25.00 is payable. Students will work on each other and you will
be required to bring your own make-up products, brushes and equipment. The make-up look required for the
assessment will be given to you on the assessment day. The assessment fee must be paid at least 7 days
in advance of your practical day. The fee can be paid online through our PayPal link.
On successful
completion of your Professional Diploma Assessment, you will be awarded the Norwich Academy of Beauty School Diploma.

Assessment Fee. This fee should be paid 7 days prior to your practical training day, if you intend to take the theory
and practical assessment. On successful completion of these elements you will be able to join the Guild of Beauty Therapists
and practise as a professional makeup artist.
